My New Year's resolution is to make a SIZEABLE dent in my completed quilt top pile! I love the patchwork part, hate the quilting part–I even love sewing down binding! Just getting from the top to the binding…

I am absolutely determined to teach myself to machine sew so I can make doll clothes. I can do it!!! 🙂

I hope you have had a very Happy Birthday!

I think that I might need a copy of this book.

I already checked off my big creative goal for this year! I hand quilted my daughter's twin size quilt for when she moves into a "big girl" bed later on this year. My next goal is a racetrack quilt for my baby boy.

I've resolved to finish a granny square blanket I've started, make a quilt for my baby-to-be, and make curtains for two rooms in need.

Thanks for the giveaway & happy birthday!

I really want to organize my craft space so it is more efficient and more conducive to crafting. It's a small corner and I just haven't gotten around to figuring out what I want. Also, I want to finish my quilt that I had guests sign the top of instead of a guest book. It's my first ever quilt and I've finished the top.

That looks like a super amazing and fun book! I'd LOVE to win it!

My new year's resolution as far as crafting goes is to simply finish projects I start…well to also finish projects I've already started. The ones I have left to complete should take up all of 2010 as is. 🙂

I would LOVE to win this book. One of my big new years resolutions is the sew a dress for myself each month. I love the idea of dressing like a 50s housewife from time to time!

Does cooking count as a crafty resolution? If so, then I resolve to finally cook a decent tasting pizza with a from-stratch crust. For sewing, I resolve to sew pants for my baby. Her legs are getting so long now.

Oh my, I may never learn how to sew in a straight line! Its part of my charm! 😉

My new years crafty resolution is two parts:
1. To take the time to craft/sew! I started a new job as a teacher, and i am crazy busy! I have lost track of my as a crafter, and I want to get back on my machine. Plus, talk about a stress relief when I can CREATE!

2. To use all the fabric I own instead of seeking out new ones. I have fabulous fabrics! I need to start using them!!!

This year I'd like to buy fewer gifts from stores, and instead give items that I've made myself. And not just because it's a great excuse to get more craft supplies…

I've resolved to actually use the sewing machine my mom handed down to me. I've made a few things and really enjoyed it. I really want to find a class so I can become confident about sewing. I would like to be able to make things for my home and my kids, especially with a new one on the way. My daughter also inherited my short legs, so it would be handy to know how to hem pants.

I'd love to do anything crafty! I follow all these craft blogs but my attempts are pretty pitiful. Nonetheless, I have asked my husband for a sewing machine for my upcoming birthday because I'm dying to attempt some of the sewing projects I've seen. I'm sure this book would be great inspiration and encouragement to keep at it!

My list is long! The most important is to finish the quilts I started for the hospital where my baby had open heart surgery.
Then, making maternity dresses (in hopes of a pregnancy), more tea cozies (I just made a cutie for myself and am hooked), and of course toddler clothes for my son- mostly bowling shirts-sooo cute!

What a fantastic book! There seems to be plenty of drool-worthy projects in there! I'm a brand new quilter (just completed my first quilt @ the beginning of December) & I have a very gracious MIL who let me raid her fabric stash. My goal this year is to make 10 quilts. Most will probably be baby quilts since I want to make one for my toddler son & I also have a few friends expecting. So far, so good… I've got one quilt top completed already! (a Christmas lap-size quilt)

ONE of my crafty New Years' goals is to embrace the "multi-project" mentality. Rather than beat myself up about having 2, or 5, or 10 projects simultaneously "in the works," I want to accept it, and use it. When my eyes and back are tired from sitting at the sewing machine, I can curl up on the couch and pick up some simple knitting. That way, more projects will be done in the end!!!!!
p.s. I am SUPER excited about this give away. This book was on my wish list for Christmas, but I didn't get it.
