GIVEAWAY: $50 Gift Card to Madison Reece Designs!

If you haven’t checked out the etsy shop of our awesome sponsor Madison Reece Designs, go go go! Her jewelry is absolutely GORG! Every piece is handmade to order and can be customized for you or your kiddos. This is my favorite.

The designer of these beautiful treats, Melissa, says “I am a T-shirt & Jeans kind of girl, this is why I created this line.  I know there are many other moms out there just like me.  My designs can be casual or dressy. You will find in my silver clay designs that they are not perfect – they are meant to look very rustic and far from perfect. They have fine lines or marks in them that I think add character and uniqueness to each piece.” I totally agree. Her jewelry is super-wearable for everyday, but just special enough that you’ll get complimented on it constantly.

So how lucky are we? One reader is going to get a $50 gift card to order whatever they want from Madison Reece Designs shop! AND ALL OF OUR READERS are going to get FREE SHIPPING if they mention Prudent Baby when they order, woo hoo!

Here’s how to enter:  Go check out the shop and pick your fav piece.  Because you can customize this jewelry with your darling sons’ and daughters’ names, I want to hear what they are!  Leave a comment telling us which piece you’d want to customize with your baby’s name and a little of the story behind the name itself.  I’ll start:  I totally love The Giving Tree necklace and want one with my daughter’s name: Scarlet Jane.  Scarlet was a name my husband and I could agree on, and Jane is her Great Grandmother who is still around to love her.  I see Jane in Scarlet Jane every day: in the way she walks, the way she laughs, and her constant repetition of the phrase “I can do it myself”, so I think it was just meant to be!

To win this contest, you must be a US Resident and you must be as gorgeous as this jewelry. Well, at least on the inside. Tweet, blog, or update your facebook status about the giveaway, and leave us another comment letting us know for extra entries.  Come back every day for a new entry!  Entries will close at midnight, Wednesday April 14th and a winner will be selected via random.org. And don’t forget to visit Melissa’s Shop Madison Reece Designs to get free shipping by mentioning Prudent Baby!

I am absolutely in love with the 'All because two people fell in love' necklace with the initial charms. I feel this way so often, so absolutely blessed that by falling in love with my husband I was given the greatest gifts of my life: my beautiful boys. Thank you ever so much for the giveaway πŸ™‚

I love the Blessed beyond measure… because it's so true. Anthony and Brooklynn have made my life completely blessed! Brooklynn got her name because I am from New York and will always be a NYer through and through! I'm proud of where I'm from, but love where I live here in KY. Anthony got his name from my Grandfather. He was a strong wonderful man and I didn't have much time with him but fondly remember wearing his bolo hat and bouncing on his lap! Plus we're Italian and can't go without an Anthony for too long. HA!

I like the Rustic silver mini monogram necklace. I think I would order one for my sister who is about to have a baby with his initial and another for myself!

I just love the "birdie" and "waiting". I did our little Emma's nursery in a bird theme and love how it fits her personality now.
We choose Emma Grace Elizabeth because, 1) Emma Grace was a name that both my husband and I liked and 2) because my first name and my mom's middle name is Elizabeth. My hubby really loves that name and at one point told me that one of the reasons I caught his eye was because of my name (how cute is he!). We couldn't decide between the three, so decided to use them all. πŸ™‚

I think my favorite is the Lotus Blossoms…but it's hard to choose a favorite.
I have two girls, Julia Elizabeth and Emily Frances…
Julia is the only one that is not a family name. Not even sure how we picked it. It was just on our names list and we started calling her that about 6 or 7 months into pregnancy…
Elizabeth is the middle name of three of our family members, my sister, my Grammy and my husband's Nana.
Emily is my middle name.
Frances is Nana's name.
I didn't go into picking names with the requirement of having it be a family name, it just felt right…

I love the rustic silver collection "I love you" Necklace. On it,it say I will love you until the day after forever.
My daughters name is Maycie Isabella. I had been pregnant before and had a bunch of names picked out, but that baby unfortunately never came to be. So when I became pregnant with Maycie I wanted something different. It took my husband and I months and months, and one night he came home from working late (about 1am) and I said how about Maycie, and he loved it, and we have been calling her that ever since. She truly is an amazing little gift and I would do anything in the world for her, and I will love her not matter what until the day after forever!

I would love to do the Rustic Silver Southwest Wildflowers with my daughter's name. She is due June 27th and her name is Violet Sloan. She is named after both of her great grandmothers. They were beautiful, amazing, and strong women who I am proud to name my daughter for. I hope one day she understands just how special her name will be.

I'd love "My Heart is Full" for my sister–a great mom and grandma. She has 4 kids and 3 grandkids. New newest granddaughter is Ivy Marie, just 6 weeks old. Ivy is after my Mom (baby's great-grandma), and Marie is both my sister's middle name and that of the baby's mom, too. Marie was the name of a dear family friend and is the middle name for several others in the extended family too.

The "family jewels without birthstones" necklace is the one that caught my eye–very simple but also very sweet. My little one is Easton Henry–after reading through the Baby Name Bible separately, I had a list of about 200 names and my husband had a dozen on his list. Luckily, there were 5 names in common on both of our lists and Easton was one of them! His middle name of Henry was my grandfather and great-grandfather's first name.

I love the "As I Wait" necklace. My husband and I have been trying to have children for a while, so it would be a nice reminder to wait on God's perfect timing.

I'm also a fan of "As I Wait." Lilah Beatrix is named after my father who passed away before she was born – used his L. B. initials and found names that we loved.

I love "It's not the destination but the journey" — it's one of my favorite sayings.
I think I'd choose not to have it personalized with my son's name, because we're TTC our second child right now, and eventually I'd love to purchase a necklace customized with both of my children's names once our family is complete.

What gorgeous stuff! I'm also a t-shirt and jeans wearing mama (when I'm not a t-shirt and pj pants or t-shirt and yoga pants mama) and these are just my style. Pretty, but not fussy. I like the little branches necklace, but I'd wait to get that until we have more branches in the family. My fave for now is the rustic silver little initials necklace.

My kiddos have super long names, but we call them by nicknames. They are Eleanor and Annaliese, but we call them Ella and Annie. E's full name means Pure Light of God. A's full name means Favored from Birth. We chose names that impart some of our hope for their futures.

Great questions to ask! And, great giveaway!

I love the "Family Tree" necklace. I like that one because you can add on to it… My daughter's name is Abriella Noelle… I found Abriella while trying to help a friend name her baby girl, and Noelle is my middle name. I want to be able to add on to it because we have a new little blessing coming to us in September.

Hi! We chose to name our daughter Lily. She has a few nicknames, but we first started calling her "Baby Bird" when she was only a few days old. We would hold her in our arms and as soon as she got sight of the bottle she would open her rosebud mouth like a little baby bird. It was so cute. The silver birdie necklace would be what I would love to have. It would remind me of those first few special memories we made with our little girl.

I love the "My Heart is Full" … and my heart is full of love for my two precious little girls, Darcy and Delaney. Darcy was my husband's idea. While watching Pride and Prejudice, he said "can't Darcy be a girl's name?". I bought in a couple weeks later when he said to picture her introducing herself to someone at 5 years old. Delaney was a name I loved and we thought it went well with Darcy. My husband was the one that had to be sold this time. πŸ˜‰

I love the Pebble collection w/birthstones.

I would get my daughters name, Addison, or possibly, Addi, for short.

Addison was acually a name I had found in a baby book under the boy section. I said it to my mom and sister, and they said, they really liked it. And I said, for a boy? They had thought I meant a girl. My fiance will try to tell people that he picked it out because it is on of the streets that Wrigley Field is on, but don't listen, lol.

I was immediately drawn to the "Waiting" design. Simple, elegant, and meaningful. My seven-month-old daughter's name is Juliet, but we call her "J bird". My husband often just calls her "bird"! We picked her name simply because we liked it. Her middle name, Caroline, is my former middle name, as I took my maiden name as my middle name when I got married. I missed the name, and so I was happy to be able to pass it on to my beautiful baby.

Love the "My Heart Is Full". I think my two kids names on the small pieces and my husband's on the heart would be perfect!

We have a very common last name, so we wanted to pick strong names for our children. Braden is our boy – it's a name I've loved since I was little. His middle name is Edward, which is a family name the boys have carried for 4 or more generations. Alexia is our girl, and because I picked our son's name, my husband got to pick our little girl's name. Her middle name is Grace, because by the grace of God was she added to our family.

Such pretty jewelry! What a artist! πŸ™‚

My favorite is the family jewels – without birthstones. I love the look of the initials. Our sons are Dublin and Jonas (and New Baby). We picked their names because as school teachers we needed names we hadn't heard yet. πŸ˜‰

I also totally love the giving tree design. My son's name is Noah. I had a super hard time naming him but my mom, my friend and I all thought of it the same day and it stuck. My daughter's name is Hazel. I saw it on a street sign in a city I was living in approximately 4 years before I had her but I knew I'd have a Hazel. I just love the name.

Honestly love them all. Am torn between Make a Wish, Lotus Blossoms, and Giving Tree. My son's name is Preston after my wonderful Grandfather. He is actually the 5th Preston in our family. My Great Grandfather, Grandfather, Uncle, Cousin, and now my son. He is such a wonderful child and the perfect one to carry on the family name.

I would pick the Rustic Silver – Cherry Blossom Monogram, because I featured it on my blog two weeks ago http://www.ahennypenny.blogspot.com! Wowzers. Great minds think alike. And I would keep it as an "M" for my sweet Margot born in the spring when the trees flower! We chose Margot because of the 5 girls names we were considering when she was born, it just fit… and it still does.

I really like the "giving tree" necklace. I would have Talia and Kyson stamped on the necklace. Talia was named after Italy. In the italian language italy is said Italia so we took off the I and named her Talia. Kyson was named after my Husband their names are one letter off. So it was like naming him after my hubby but my little guy will still have his own name for his very own.

My favorite is the orchid bloom necklace. When my husband Edgard and I got married, I absolutely loved our wedding flowers – pink orchids with orange tulips. I would want to customize it with a silver chain and two additional charms for our babies, Jonas Antonio and Claudia Sofia. Jonas was a name that Edgard and I both loved, and Antonio has been a family middle name for 3 generations. Claudia is named for a sister of Edgard's who died a few days after birth, and Sofia is a name that I have always wanted for a little girl. Jonas and Claudia are only 15 months apart. Claudia came earlier than expected and I struggled with that, but she came to complete our family and be my protector. It was during my pregnancy with her that we discovered I had cancer. She is now 4 months old and healthy as can be, and I am still in treatment but the cancer is in remission. I would wear the necklace to honor Edgard, my rock; Jonas, my firstborn prince; and Claudia, my guardian angel.

My choice would be the fine silver birdie necklace; it reminds me of hope and a beautiful poem by Emily Dickenson. On the back I would put the name of my soon to be born son. We are planning on naming him Caleb (shhh, don't tell!), which means faithful. Lately I've been thinking a lot about faithfulness, and what a treasure and blessing it is in my life. I am grateful to those who show it to me, and this is something I want to pass on to my son.

I love them all!!! She does beautiful work!! Awesome!! I would want something like "family branches" to be able to have all my childrens names!!! We have three and plan to have more…Lord willing! Alexis, Trenton and Olivia. They are all names that we could agree on. πŸ˜€ Alexis Leanne (my husbands mothers middle name and my moms middle name put together) Trenton Westhoff (my husbands mothers maiden name) Olivia Opal (my grandmothers name)

My faves (I can't pick one!) are Birdie, Make a Wish and the Giving Tree. My baby boy is named Fionn, which is said like Finn. It's the old Gaelic spelling. My partner and I liked it best of the names we agreed on. We also like the old tales of Fionn McCumhaill (said like Fionn McCool) who was an Irish hero of sorts. I have Scottish ancenstry (among some other stuff) and my partner is part Irish and we feel very drawn to these cultures. My partner also surfs so we felt Fionn sort of paid homage to a surfboard, cause without the Fionn, you just aren't straight…

so beautiful! both my daughters (one is 27 and one is 6) would absolutely love these. If I won I would have to save up to buy them one each. So much emotion in these pieces. Impressive work.
