Road Trip Mix Time

I’m out in the desert far away from my sewing machine, so I thought I’d share this week’s favorite road tunes. And we’re heading out with the kiddo for our first 8 hour road trip (to Meemah and Papa’s house) next week, so I thought this summer road trip mix might bring a little vibey fun to our adventure, without giving me agita from repetitive “kids” songs. You can check it out in the widget below and if you like it, you can buy any song right through the widget. Kinda neat, right?

Have any great road trip songs we should bring along?  Let us know in the comments and you could win that awesome fabric up there on the left. I’m also especially interested to know what was THE song at your Prom. Seriously.

We REALLY need new music. If I have to listen to #2 and #4 from Scarlet's Dance Attack one more time things WILL get ugly. So thank you.

My Prom song was I Remember You by Skid Row. Awesome.

Thanks, Jessica for adding on. Nice!

On our way back home to NC from Montana, one of our favs was John Denver's Country Road. Yea, a little on the cheese side but we were so tired of being on the road, our 4 girls were tired of the road so we ALL sang this song at the top of our lungs. There's something way too cute about a 3 and 5 yr old singing that song. I also have black mail for my 10 and 13 yr old. lol We had a good laugh afterwards. πŸ™‚

Oh yea, and my prom song…get this… TOTAL ECLIPSE OF THE HEART. Can you believe that?? Lol

Take care! Safe travels!

We love anything by Radiohead while on road trips. We listened to them as we drove up to Alaska. The music just seems to go so well with the mountainous scenery.

(I fell in love with my hubby over many Violent Femmes songs and way too much pool.)

We're addicted to Snack Time, the album by the Bare Naked Ladies. It's very kid friendly, but doesn't want to make me rip my ears off after listening to it 18 times in a row. =) Hope you like!
