Prudent Advice Party Pictacular

I feel like such a lucky lady these days. All of your support has meant so much to me over the past year and now it’s all coming to fruition as Prudent Advice is finally in stores!

We had such a blast at the launch party last week hosted by The Little Seed. Photographer (and mom) Christine DeHaven was on hand to capture the festivities. Isn’t she amazing? She’s available to shoot your family and events too, check out her amazing site to see her magical take on family photography.

I’d love to know what you think, and wish you all could have been there! There are a few party DIYs to come, check out more party pics after the jump

And remember, leave a comment on any post this week and you could win that half yard of nicey jane oilcloth pictured up on the left, so GORG.

Prudent Advice Book Launch Party

The book live in the flesh!

Gift Bags!

And a raffle.

And cupcakes by Frosted Cupcakery (SO YUM)!

Niko stopped by!

Signing away…

Mothers and daughters, could anything be sweeter?

My own delightful daughter.

And my mom too!

Champagne is for signing…

Note to self:  wear higher-necked dress next time.

The signing table…

Worrying about the perfect thing to write…

Bethany is a Prudent Mama and she made this shirt from a fat quarter we sent her!

The Little Seed is a GORG shop.

Keeping it real.  Or trying.

My mom made this as a little gift for the party!!!

Even a few men came by.

Stacks upon stacks.

One of my idols, our host, Soleil Moon Frye.

What a humbling experience and honor.

Me and my baby celebrating our book.

I hope you can make it to other stops on the book tour!

Congrats! I'm a prudent newbie, but I am in love already! I went to sleep dreaming of ways make the cloths I don't want anymore into scarves or headbands. You have inspired me to create, and I would suspect that is your main goal! Many thanks!

You got Punky Brewster to host the launch party for your very own book! You need to just keep that sentence in mind whenever in need of a sense of accomplishment. That's not something most mamas can say to themselves. Congrats and good for you; and now I have a great gift to give to every baby shower I go to.

No Denver? Sad face.

Looks sooo fun and I'm sooo happy for you! I think I know a few people that would like this as a Christmas present this year!

Looks like it was a huge success! I so wish I lived in the area. Maybe you could find a way to come down to the Austin area after your Dallas book signing! I would fill a van full of prudent mamas to come meet you and get a book! I'm so happy for you and this amazing accomplishment!

Just found your website recently and love how everything is setup. Just had a baby boy but looking forward to having a little girl so I can make all kinds of cute dresses. Thanks for such a wonderful site!

Congrats! I love the pretty teal/turquoise pop of your books in every corner of the photos.

I am also LOVING my copy and trying to remember all my favorites to read to our little girl when she arrives in February. Beautiful thoughts and quite a few chuckles! I can just picture myself up feeding her and catching a few pages to entertain myself in the wee hours of the night. 🙂

Looks like a lot of fun! That shirt your reader made is adorable! Haha about the top. I'm sure it looked more modest when you looked in the mirror. Hopefully your hand isn't too tired from all that signing!

Hi Jamie – My two sick kids prevented me from coming to your book party (bah!) – I've been following your blog for months now. Love it. As a self-taught pretty cowardly sewer, you've motivated me to move on from years of sewing simple pillows to try new [more complicated] things (i would post pics but I have no idea how) – and provided me with excellent ideas for productive procrastination to take me away from my "real" work… maybe not a great thing, but super fun nonetheless – so, thank you!
I'm hoping to make it to Pasadena so I can tell you in person how fab you are. Ok, that sounds weird – but writers never get enough credit…
Congrats on the book & hopefully we'll meet in December.
Thanks for keeping me busy & entertained! -Karen

Congratulations! Can't wait to get my book at your signing at Babies by the Sea. They sell my felt barrettes and headbands there. Yay!
