Fat Quarter Apron Slideshow!

EEEEKKK! Aren’t these all so pretty? As are the prudent mamas (and grandmamas and kiddos) wearing ’em. We received hundreds of entries to our first competition: The Fat Quarter Apron Contest. It was very exciting for us and hopefully fun for you. Next time we’ve decided we’ll need reader voting, because it was so hard to choose that we had to implement a scoring system just to narrow it down to one winner. We’ll announce soon, but in the meantime take a look at 100 (that’s all i could fit in one slideshow) of the entries!

Show these Prudent Mamas some love in the comments, and claim your apron too! Remember, you could win some luscious yarn!

I LOVE all of these aprons! They are all so different. My faves are the Halloween black cats, the roosters, and the pears with the brown bobble trim. I saw mine on here, too! Now I'm inspired to make another (or two or three)!

I don't even like pears, but I would so proudly wear the one made of the sweet pear fabric. I may just change my mind about the fruit in general…I must know where that fabric was found.

I really liked all of them! It's so fun to see how many designs folks came up for the same concept. I want to make more!

Oh man, such a hard choice to pick just one! These are all so gorgeous. And I see my baby girl's chunky legs in there, as well as the one I made for myself (showing my, hopefully, not so chunky legs!) Thanks for including me!

Thank you, thank you for showing off all the prudent crafter results, as this is even more inspiring, making me want to make many, many more. Christmas gifts perhaps? Excited to see mine as well, but even more pleased to see all the amazing trim options and applique possibilities too, as I can tell lots of people made their own bias tape too (my new favorite thing to do!)

Oh my gosh, these are awesome! My favorite is the chicken fabric with the red ruffle – I've had laying hens for the last year and I'm hooked. I think I need to make a hen fabric apron for when I'm working with my "girls" & gathering their eggs.

Love all of them! They look so great. I am sporting the bright blue and orange one with kitchen utensils on it. Also, the giant pile of fabric is what I picked up at the quilt show. Didn't expect to see that in the slide show.

Omigosh!! These are ALL so beautiful! My favorite is the one made with light blue fabric with the jars on it…I also reeeally like the ones with the atomic-like starburst pattern…and the matching "mommy and me" sets…

LOVE & Inspired! I think my favorite is the orange and red floral with yellow pleated edge. I might just have to get my self together enough to make a few of these for holiday gifts!

Wow, amazing aprons, ladies! I tried to pick a favorite and would see one and say, hey, that's my favorite, but then another appeared and another and I loved that one maybe a tiny bit more, and so on and so on……

Great job everyone….what an inspiration you ALL are!

I love the green park scene with the bears, and the vintage style Parisian print apron (40's/50's style?). They are so cookie-sweet that I just want to run to the kitchen and do some baking – and it's 28.5 deg C!!! (That's 84.2 deg F)
I seriously don't envy you the task of having to choose the winning apron! Maybe your own Prudent Babies can help you ๐Ÿ™‚

It's so great that you got so many entries! Just a suggestion: maybe for your next contest you could link it with a craft hope project (www.crafthope.com). All of the wonderful projects that everyone makes could go to charity. I think it would be really fun for everyone involved!

This is great! I LOVE seeing all of them. My favorite, besides my little girl's Christmas one of course!, is the one with the big flower quilted on it and the embroidered herbs on the side. Way to embellish!!! There were lots of other ones that really were beautiful as well. Great job everyone!
