FRIDAY {SURPRISE} PRIZE

The gorgeous Bamboo Ewe yarn (55% viscose from bamboo and 45% wool – extra cozy) in Twilight from Stitch Nation by Debbie Stoller goes to…

Wee Granny Cathy who said…“HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! Fat quarter aprons!
I’d need one of these quarters just to make a pocket! I come from a long line of short, fluffy women, so a full yard is more like what I use! These are darn cute pockets, however!”

I think I like Cathy’s comment the most because as I was looking through the photos I was thinking… “Daaaamn! Those are some svelte mamas we have here on Prudent Baby”

Cathy, please use the contact form to send us your address and we will send out your yarn. Winners have five days to contact us before forfeiting their prize to another lucky reader.
This week you have the chance to win a lovely sampler of GLITTER to fulfill all of your holiday crafting fantasies. It includes a vial each of Cranberry, Lime Green, Christmas Pink, Aqua, Silver and Turquoise for a total 18 grams! And no, I did not pour it out to take this photo. Isn’t it pretty? I love glitter so much. So leave a lovely comment on any post this week (the MOST lovely, or funny, or crazy, but not too crazy) and this pretty glitter will be yours!  Remember to leave your comments on any or all of our posts this week to enter.

Hmmm, I bet 18 grams of glitter + a 2 year old girlie crafter helper = glitter in every corner of every room and beyond! =)

With vials of Cranberry, Lime Green, Christmas Pink, Aqua, Silver and Turquoise, I may end up with a picture very similar. But relax! There's a difference between just pouring it out (what a waste!) and glittering every possible surface, the latter being exactly what I would do.

I am very much like a crow, anything that sparkles and shines my mind automatically turns to "must have right.this.minute"… so I am sure that this glittery goodness would have a happy life in my twinkly nest of a home πŸ™‚

This reminded me of a song I love …
from Pink …

Have you ever thrown
A fist full of glitter in the air
Have you ever looked fear in the face
And said I just dont care

Not that I want to throw the glitter away per say, but I have to say, I've never thrown a handful of glitter in the air. In a way, it sounds like quite the release, doesn't it? Maybe it's just me … well, me and Pink. πŸ™‚

Glitter would make me feel girly in a house full of testosterone. A hubby, two little boys, and a big dog–I am slightly out numbered. πŸ™‚

Once, when I was little, my grandma, while babysitting me, thought to keep me busy by letting me use fabric glue and glitter to decorate a sweater for my birthday. My grandma, since it had been awhile since she had her own kids to look after and I was the first grandchild, walked away to go to the washroom. Not five minutes had passed but, when she returned, she found me covered in glue on all available patches of exposed skin (I was thoughtful enough to not get any on my clothes) throwing the glitter in the air and letting it fall on my head. When asked what the H*ll I thought I was doing, I told her I was making the prettiest snow storm ever!!

I think I sneezed glitter for a good week after the "snow storm."

If I win, I promise not to snort the glitter, but I can't promise there will be no sparkly snow storms πŸ˜€

We had a bit of a Valentine's Day glitter massacre this past February, and my husband banned me from "buying" anymore. But technically, if I won glitter from the awesome ladies of Prudent Baby I wouldn't be buying anything…

How is this for crazy… and lovely too… I bought some cinnamon scented pine cones and my HUSBAND suggested that we decorate them and make some fun ornaments… and glitter would be the *perfect* way to do that! πŸ˜€

My son likes to battle pokemon…my husband likes to "battle" (? is that the right word) other guys he doesn't know on Call of Duty (Stupid XBox live soldier fighting game). Even our dog likes to battle with my vacuum. I need some glitter so that something in my house is nice. And pretty. amandaandandy@yahoo.com
P.S. Wonder what they would do if I glittered the xbox? πŸ™‚ At least I would like it more.

I would love to glitter my phone, my xbox controller, my glasses. Maybe even some shoes. Even make my own felt glitter cookies for my daughter!

I have a 30 month old who loves things that sparkle and shine… I am sure that 18 grams of glitter a bottle of glue and paper would actually make a very glitter HOUSE!!!!

Glitter makes me think of holidays (and fairies) – especially Christmas and Valentine's and that much glitter would help me *sparkle* up some wonderful crafts with my two children (5 and 7) for many of those holidays to come! I can think of dozens of homemade Christmas gifts we could make!! And that would help us get through a tight holiday season πŸ™‚

My daughter loves glitter so much that she would LOVE to cover herself in glue and roll around in it(then never take a bath)! She seriously ends up with more on her than on the project we are doing at the time lol!

LOL. I love Cathy's comment, cuz I am also in awe that a fat quarter (or a table napkin or the likes) could be made into an apron!
