Bias Tape Table Runner Slideshow & Winner!

Check out some of our favorite entries to the November Contest: The Bias Tape Table Runner Challenge!

Our November contest was a bit more challenging then most, with the quilting and of course the timing! For the November contest We asked that you find a moment in all of your holiday festivities to use our Bias Tape Table Runner Tutorial to create a table runner. We had so many beautiful entries with the piecing, patchwork, quilting, and creativity that we always see from our Prudent Mamas. But the winner took it to a whole new level with a creative idea that was so kid-friendly and fun we just had to choose it as our winner! Congratulations Angie!

One side of Angie’s table runner is the quilted blue beautifulness seen above, while the other side is a game that keeps her baby busy while she prepares dinner! She used a gray flannel backing on which she stitched a few simple shapes and some side pockets. Then she cut a variety of shapes out of different colors of felt. Her kid uses them as a matching game or just to make pretty pictures while she cooks, then the felt pieces store neatly in the pockets during dinner! Don’t you love this idea? Pretty and crafty on so many levels.

Thanks Angie and to all the Prudent Mamas who entered. Angie, we hope you enjoy your new Simplicity Bias Tape Maker, Bias Ruler, and shears! And everyone else, we are so excited to see the clever and gorg ornaments you come up with for this month’s contest: the Ornament Throw Down!

And remember to leave a comment for these Prudent Mamas if you want a chance to win that gorgeous Alexander Henry fat quarter!
