Prudent Advice in the Wall Street Journal!

Books for the Pickiest Personalities in Your Life
Just a week until Christmas and you’re plumb out of gift ideas for some of the tough customers in your life? Consider something deeply retro: a book….

The Young Mother
Prudent Advice: Lessons for My Baby Daughter, a Life List for Every Woman, by Jaime Morrison Curtis.

The crafts editor at PrudentBaby.com, Ms. Curtis wrote this book for her own daughter, Scarlet Jane, who is still a tot herself. One might ask if a newbie mother should be giving the rest of us advice, but Ms. Curtis manages to include plenty of tough, honest wisdom, such as, “Sometimes it’s just not about you,” and “Not everyone is going to like you, and that’s just fine.”

There’s more! Read the rest of the article at The Wall Street Journal, or pick up a copy of today’s print edition… like I just did!

Congratulations on the great press! Today I purchased your book for my baby daughter. I've been entertained and inspired by your blog this year, so I thought it was a nice way to commemorate her first Christmas. I fully intend to wipe tears from my eyes as I read through each piece of advice!

Oh wow, that is so amazing. Congratulations! You must be so proud and what an amazing thing to tell your daughter when she is a little older.

Good for you – you totally deserve this! Yay! And I'm loving the book. (Just for the record, they're wrong about the humour part, the book has some great funny bits, and if they're in any doubt they should check out this site – your two senses of humour are one of the bestest parts of it! I'm often giggling away as I read). Anyway, go go go! Hope you sell millions over the next week and can start writing your posts from a private island in the Caribbean.
