Picking just one is not an easy task. I could easily name 10 that I love! But for my next project I need oilcloth so I am going with…Echino fall 2010 by Estsuko Furuya Wild Forest Mint Oilcloth! I can never find the beautiful oilcloths that fabricworm has at my local fabric shop.

When I was living in Japan, I absolutely fell in love with the fabric selection available there. Unfortunately at that time I didn't know much about sewing so couldn't take full advantage. Now that I'm taking sewing lessons I wish that I could go back to Japan for a shopping spree! That is why I would LOVE this fabric to try my hand at using oilcloth: http://www.fabricworm.com/kolatrmadoan2.html

As an aside, if you ever find yourself in Tokyo, you MUST go to the store Tomato. It's the mecca of amazing fabrics!

Wow! So many beautiful fabrics! Hard to pick just one but I think I can make a fun shirred dress or twirly skirt for one of my three little girls with the Alexander Henry Pocket pixies in taffy. Thanks so much for all of your great tutorials – they inspired me to start sewing again after a (too) long hiatus!! Nsmcpm@gmail.com
