Big Little Felt Universe

We are so excited to announce this giveaway because this is one of the most adorable craft books we have seen in a long time! Big Little Felt Universe by Jeanette Lim contains over 70 felt projects in full color with lifesize patterns. Now we have all seen amazing felt fruits&veggies…

but have you seen… felt cacti?

or a felt doctor’s kit?

or felt tools?

or a felt laptop?

And so many more projects. Amazing! One of the things I love most about this book is how boy-friendly the toys are. We are always saying that boys get totally robbed compared to the amount of DIY projects geared towards little girls, well not this book! It has something for everyone.

Here is a link to the Banana Split Sundae Project from the book. FREE Y’ALL!

A felt art set would be cute: a color wheel, one of those paint mixing trays that you hold on your thumb (with some felt paint globs of course), giant paint brush, a classic french beret… I suppose an easel would be a little too much. πŸ™‚

We have gobs of felt food around here (that we love, natch) but my girl's princess obsession has given way to dinosaurs. So I'd love some felt T. rexes, triceratops, and stegasauruses!(stegasauri? Hm.)

This looks incredible! Spring is finally creeping up on us in Chicago and I've got gardening on the brain. I'd love to see a felt raised garden bed with dirt that plants can be tucked into, seed packets, half grown veggies, and gardening tools.

And thanks for the worldwide! Moms outside the US are crafty too! <3

Omg this is adorable x a million! How have I not seen this book before?! I must be blind!

I would love to see a pattern for a washer and dryer with a little clothes drying rack. Then, when my daughter is old enough, she could pretend to wash and dry her doll clothes and we could make little felt cloth diapers for her dolls and the covers could be dried on the drying rack.

Is it bad that it took me almost 1/2 hour to write this comment because I kept getting distracted by looking on Etsy for wool felt for this project? πŸ˜€

I love the felt tool set! That is awesome. I'd love to see a felt mechanic/ car repair set (in addition to the tools.) My little guy often sits in the garage when my husband works on the car, and I'd rather he have a felt set than the plastic tool sets I frequently see.

I'd like to see a sewing room set. Sewing machine, rotary cutter, maybe a serger? My daughter's always in there with me, climbing on my lap and "helping" and I'm about ready to give in and get her a toy machine, but since she's just about to turn two, a felt set would be PERFECT.

A felt puppy and accessories – including your favourite floor rug with a pile of puppy poo on it. And some puppy chewed slippers, of course! And some puppy chewed homework. I would love to see felt playsets for all the holidays – bunnies and eggs for Easter, turkeys and pilgrims for Thanskgiving, Nativity sets, or Santa's workshope with all his elves and toys, Cupid and hearts for valentine's day, leprechauns and rainbows and pots of gold for St. Patty's day, ghosts and monsters and pumpkins for halloween, etc, etc, etc!!!

Neato! We'd love a refrigerator, complete with a vegetable drawer, an ice box/dispenser, and a pocket in the door for eggs and milk. Or, a briefcase, with a folio, a cell phone, business cards, and a fancy pen. Maybe big enough for that laptop, m-hmm. Or a mama cat and kittens, along with a ball of twine and a milk bowl. A gardening set would be cool too, or orchids, where you can pin the different kinds on a plant stem… sigh… if I had more free time… So many back-burner projects… and none can get started until we buy a new house and sell this one! Off to the home depot I go, to garden in 30 degree Chicago weather before the open house :(.

Oh that's a wonderful Idea! I love it! (the bar set that is I've not really looked through all the other comments)
But, since I've already seen states, and kidneys and intestines and a uterus and more made out of felt, the only thing I can think of that I know I would have loved as a child myself would be…
camera like a professional type of camera, perhaps a cell phone that looks like a real one since my daughter always steals mine!
I would have also loved cookware and building blocks… like the old cardboard bricks!
We had a few sets of those as kids and we were never bored when we had those things out.
I'd still play with them now if they weren't long gone to a landfill or recycling plant somewhere… or perhaps burn pile who knows?
I really want to make some of the things that were pictured on this post! And I'm sure there's millions more great ideas in the book!
can't wait πŸ™‚

oh rats… it didn't post before… πŸ™
But the things I haven't yet seen, and I've seen a lot of felt items… ranging from the state of Iowa, to a smiling uterus! and then some.
But a camera (like a professional type of camera)
Realistic cell phones (so perhaps my daughter won't steal mine to play with)
cookware
and best of all, building bricks
Like the old school cardboard bricks.
That, if the set I had as a child were not LONG gone by now, I'd be playing with that right now instead of on the computer lol!

Lovely, out of felt, I would like to make all kinds of figures to make mandela's with. Lots of crafting love from the Netherlands

Wow! I am so impressed that the food looks so appetizing! My daughter is in the middle of potty training and so I would have to say a bathroom set….a toilet, bathtub, vanity and maybe even a plunger…just in case. lol

so many good ideas – love the felt sewing machine, farm, and dinosaur ideas. I'm having trouble thinking of anything else to add. Maybe a Robin Hood hat with feather, and bow, arrows and quiver.

These are more works of art than craft! I would love this book, as I am making my 2 year old cousin play food to go with her tea set, I love these, and I know my cousin and her Mum would too!
