GIVEAWAY: 2-Month Subscription to fair ivy

I have a confession to make. With all the crafting I do here in Prudent Baby, you might think that my friends and family are the lucky recipients of thoughtful handmade gifts. You might even thing that I package them fancily and send them on time. Well you would be wrong on all counts. It’s the king of clichιs but all my quality gift-giving went out the window when I had kids. Dreadful.

My New Year’s resolution this year was even to be better about the birthday gifts. I have NOT had ONE success. So imagine my delight when I was introduced to fair ivy. It’s time to call in the professionals to rescue this deadbeat gift-giver!

Owner Lucy Fairweather says…

fair ivy was created in 2009 after a realization that so little of what we receive in the mail is a surprise anymore.  The only real mail that comes to the door is usually bills, Amazon packages, or junk mail!   Where’s the fun in that?

fair ivy is a unique subscription service—we send awesome, cute, mystery packages to our customers once a month.  A large portion of the items are handmade, and our packages are additionally as eco-friendly as possible, using crinkle paper instead of styrofoam to protect all of the exciting goodies!   You never know what you are going to receive, but you always know it is going to be wonderful.  There are packages for everyone—teens, women, men and even pets!

You can even buy packages to start sending in the future—so you can take care of all your birthday and Christmas shopping early!

Or maybe you are a great gift giver but SOMEONE YOU KNOW is not. Maybe an adult male who lives in your home? Time for a subtle hint? Save him from wandering the mall lost and confused and save you from faking a smile when you open a neon bar sign.

And if all this talk of sweet little surprises has you wanting more. Check out fair ivy’s surprise blog: The Surpriseaholic, a great place for people to randomly win handmade surprises.

I bet you want to know how to enter to win a free two month subscription…

To enter for the chance to win, visit fair ivy and peruse their surprise package subscriptions. Tell us if you would pick the fair ivy or the fun ivy if you won and who would get it! I’d pick the fair ivy and I’d give it to… um, me. So much for improving my gift-giving status.

And since you know we always love to give extra entries, “like” fair ivy on facebook and leave a second comment letting us know. You’ll be glad you did, there are so many great gift ideas!

If you share this giveaway on Facebook, Twitter or Stumble Upon, leave a comment for each as an additional entry.

And also, feel free to come back every day! Comments will close Monday, June 13th at 11:59. Winner will have 5 days to contact us before prize is awarded to a new winner.

I would get the fair ivy package for myself. These are totally the kinds of gifts I appreciate. Some of the sample pictures I actually have given before!

I'm the same way! I love crafting but am terrible at gifts. This is awesome. I think I'd pick the fun ivy. I'm not sure who I'd send it to, I think I might keep it. Sounds amazing!

I love the fun ivy packages, for myself of course! I think I'm going to get one for my sister-in-law as well.

I love them both – but since my "new years resolution" was to step outside the box more, I'd have to say "fun ivy"… normally I'd probaly pick fair ivy though – both are great! Thanks for the give-away!!

Oh my, that is a FABULOUS idea! I'd want the fair ivy. And since I'm a pretty good gift giver (I'd like to think), but the people I live with aren't so much, I think it'd have to be for ME!

I would pick the fair ivy, and give it to my husband's grandmother. Grandpa just had surgery to remove a large tumor, and his illness has been very hard on this quiet, simple natured, proud woman. I love her to death and would like to send her something special "just because"

I would like the fair ivy package. I have 3 sisters AND 3 sisters-in-law, plus a mom and mother-in-law, etc. I could go on. πŸ˜‰ Perhaps it would go to the sister with the next birthday coming up.

I'd pick fair ivy and split it between myself and my sisters and mom and mother in law. πŸ™‚

I would definitely do the fair ivy package. In theory, I'd give it to one of my sisters-in-law because they're very hard to shop for. In actuality, I'd probably end up giving to myself. πŸ™‚

I would choose fair ivy. I would send it to my sister who is taking 3 chemistry classes this summer to advance her degree. Who deserves a surprise package more than someone stuck inside working on yucky chemistry on a beautiful summer day?

Fair Ivy all the way – and I would send it to my best friend who just lost her mom.

I would choose the 'fun ivy' and send it to my cousin, whom I consider the sister I never had. We've both become mothers in the last couple of years, and we both have babies on the way. We've shared so much the last few years and we could definitely share some laughs over these. (And you bet I'd make her share everything with me.)

I would TOTALLY get it for myself and if I didn't need the item/LOVE the item/want the item I'd secretly pass it on to one of the other many women in my life. πŸ™‚

I'd also choose Fair Ivy. And as much as I'd like to say I'd give it to someone, I'd probably selfishly keep it for myself.

I'd pick the fair ivy and give it to my friend Bree, who lost a baby and her father a little over a year ago. She still needs a good pick me up once in a while and this would be perfect.
I may also get one for my friend Tracy who has it ALL and is so hard to shop for. These would be a great way to surprise her with fun things!

Definitely the fair ivy and I'd probably split the spoils btwn myself and friends/family.

Even if it is hard to decide, I would probably chose fun ivy. Once, the package arrives I would show them to my mother, friends, and sister. We could all take an item that we like the best. That way we could all enjoy. πŸ™‚

I would choose fun ivy because it seems, well, more FUN and has more childish aspects. I would most likely choose to give it to my sister, because she is the best!

Fair Ivy for my dear daughter who is newly married and living on the other side of the world (USA!) from me.

Fair ivy, definitely, and give it to my daughter who's a single mom. It would be so much better than all the bills that arrive in her mail!

If I won I would choose fair ivy and I would send it to my mom, it has been a long stressful year for her . She is always there for me helping me with my 4 kids and this would really surprise her and brighten her day.

Fun ivy for sure!I'd totally give this to my mom! First, she's really hard to buy for and secondly, she's been working out and getting in shape, losing over 50lbs within the last six months. What a great way to say good job, keep it up!

Definitely would pick the Fun ivy! I'd be so tempted to give it to myself, but I'd probably be nice and give it to my good friend that needs a little cheering up right now.

I would like the fair ivy myself. I think we women give alot to our families and forget to treat ourselves sometimes. How wonderful would it be to give yourself a little treat every month!

I would get the fair ivy for my mom. Her birthday is coming up at the beginning of July and I think she would LOVE this!! Of course, I'd love one for myself, but I'm trying not to be selfish!

One of my goals this year was to send out more mail. I love getting mail so I imagine others do as well. I would choose Fun Ivy. My plan would be to have it sent to me, then I would resend one item to different people. That way lots of people would get little surprises in their mailbox rather than just one.

I think it's about time for another mailing of just that sort. I'm off to the dollar store!

I LOVE this site and the gift surprises. I would choose Fun Ivy, and send it to my best girl Emily, who is very young and heart, and who I no longer live near, so a gift subscription would make staying in touch that much more delightful.

I would pick the fair ivy and hopefully I would not keep it (although I would be sorely tempted) and give it to my friend Stephanie, who just lost her little sister and who I will be able to spend less time with since we are moving away at the end of the summer. What a good reminder of how fun it is to make someone feel special!

I love fair ivy. I would give it to my cousin, Brittany, who would totally love something like this. She is a devoted stay-at-home mom who makes children's hand-bands at craft fairs and lives with her mother-in-law (who is not a picnic); so, I know she could use a pick-me-up and a little something to show her that she is appreciated πŸ™‚

OK, if I could afford it I would choose both. Each for different people. To choose just one, it would be the fair ivy and I would give it to a mentor that I've lost touch with. She is so deserving and would be tickled to find these little gifts each month. I don't think I would even let her know who it was from. Just say "from one God fearing woman to another :)". That's what I would do.

i'm new to prudent baby.. but let me just say i love it! i just had a baby 7 weeks ago.. so i've been bored at home. i found you on google and in the past 3 weeks i thin i've made over half of your DIY's! LOVE PRUDENT BABY!!!

so for this giveaway i think i'd choose fun ivy.. i owe lots of people gifts and these ones are so so so super cute!! i like making things for me/my house/ my baby and struggle to make things for others – so this is ideal type of subscription! what a great idea.

thanks prudent baby!!

I would get fun ivy for my little sister, because she is always babysitting for me and I can't afford to pay her. It is just the kind of thing a whimsical thirteen year old like her would love!

I would choose fun ivy, and share it with my daughter. She is more of a tween I guess, but she so desperately wants to be older. We adopted her and her brother from the foster care system, and I have been trying to get her interested in crafts. I want her to understand that there are great people who make good things, and she can be one too!

I'd pick the Fair Ivy and I'd give it to my friend Tonya, because I meant to make her something for her birthday and then I didn't get it made (you know how that is, right?) and so I'm about three months late on her birthday gift.
