What an awesome giveaway! The first thing I sewed was a baby blanket for my daughter in 2005! Ive only done a couple of small projects since but absolutely love to browse ideas for things I can make for my little girls! That's how I found this blog and will be following your tutorial to make my first peasant dress! 🙂

I think the first thing I ever sewed was with my mom – she used to sew alot and I wanted to try. made barbie clothes that I didn't do too much of the sewing on… but I love sewing now!!

the first thing i ever sewed was when i got my first sewing machine when i was 10 or 11 (i got it for hanakah, and i was begging and begging my mom to get me one, and i got one!) it was a little star shaped pillow and i forgot to leave a little gap to flip it inside out so it was inside out but i just stilled luuuvvved it and i was so proud of my self for sewing something on my own and a brought it around with me for awhile. and i made it on a super bowl sunday and i brought it to the party with me because it was at my friends house 🙂 😛 and i still sew today i hope to become a pro someday <3 ((and also i refused to get anybody's help to help me learn to sew, but i eventually taught my self))

I was just married…in a new marriage, a new state, a new apartment and didn't know anyone but my husband. I went out and bought a sewing machine to occupy my time. I sewed a pillowcase cover to start "redoing" the bachelor decor in the apartment!
