I have been a BabbaBox fan for a long time and I love it so much, I know you will too. The subscription service from Babbaco is awesome… each month a box arrives on your doorstep brimming with all of the supplies and instruction you could possibly need to create crafts, science experiments, reading, games, and more with your kids.
Each month there’s a theme that unifies all of the elements, a past favorite was “space” where we mapped the phases of the moon every night, created a planet lantern, and looked through the telescope to find constellations. The box on gratitude was awesome. This month’s theme is “sprouting seeds”, and the box includes a seedling kit to decorate your own pot and plant in it, a Curious George gardening book, a seed sorting & planting activity, and the first craft we did, which was to create flower pens and use them to draw on included coloring sheets…
And each box comes with a treat for parents, too.
Umm, yes please and thank you. And the bee pollen, such a clever touch for a gardening themed box. We are giving away a BabbaBox, so find how to enter (and get an exclusive discount code just for Prudent Mamas) after the jump…
So, to enter the giveaway, leave a comment suggesting a fun theme for a Babbabox, have fun with it. Hmm, I think a box on “saving” could be awesome, like learning how to save money and save memories. A box on sewing would be a big hit around here, of course. Or maybe a box on grapes, with vine themed crafts, and a bottle of wine for me, ha. Leave a comment with your idea for your first entry, and for additional entries, sign up for the Prudent Baby You Tube channel, follow Babbaco on twitter.com/babbaco, and/or sign up for the Babbaco newsletter, and leave another comment each time letting us know. Contest ends on Monday, August 13th 2012 at midnight PST, but you can come back daily between now and then for new entries.
We also have a little exclusive coupon code action for ya’: Save 20% on your first Babba Box with code PB20OFF.
Good luck!

A box on gardening!!! 🙂
A box about the yard (things to do and find in it).
A box on geography maybe? Like highlighting a continent or country. You know, with folk tales and costumes and FOOD and wildlife and a handcraft or two. For example Central America or even just a single country from there like Guatemala, and have a Mayan Indian costume to make or wear, and weaving (like the native people do on hand looms)and ceremonial mask making, and jungle wildlife highlighted like jaguars, howler monkeys and spider monkeys and parrots or toucans. If it hasn’t already been said. What about a box on adventure! You could do a scavenger hunt where you could go out and find indigenous plant and snap a photo of wildlife. You could have some information on all the cool parks around the US and all of the cool things you would see and find. You could paint your dream adventure and write on the back who would go with you. I guess technically it would be an explorer travel adventure of the US. Then you could branch out after that to different countries.
It is a great product…I wish they had one for grown-ups!
