Fabric Friday

Last night I took a late night nature walk and stepped on a crackling leaf. Yes! Fall is coming. We’ve seen some more fall like fabrics lately, but I think Lotta Jansdotter, Bella, Trees Orange takes the cake. Even though we’re still seeing 90+ degree days here, I know I’m spotting hints of cooler times.

To enter for a chance to win one yard of Lotta Jansdotter, Bella, Trees Orange tell us what recipe you are itching to make this fall. I’m craving Aztec Hot Chocolate from A Beautiful Mess. Tweet, Stumble, or share on Facebook and leave another comment letting us know. Come back every day for new entries. We’ll randomly select a winner and announce right here next Friday.

Find out who won last week’s Fabric Friday after the jump…

The winner of one yard of Camelot Cottons, Day at the Zoo, Spotlight Cream is…

I really want to try making slab apple pie and pumpkin cream cheese bread… Well, I’m not so much itching to make it as much as I’m really wanting to eat it. ;) But cooking’s always fun with a cute little helper! (my 2 year old)

Apple and cinnamon compote. I have the best ever fail-safe recipe for it and have been using it for years. I know it’s autumn when my MIL turns up at our house with a massive bag of apples for her tree and I get the first batch of compote on.

Oh no, I’m a die-hard spring/summer lover, so I totally dislike fall-talk. Even if it’s about food, which I do love… But well, I haven’t had any stew in a long time, I do like the fact that my house smells great for hours. And I got to admit that those dishes are often too heavy for hot, summery weather…

I make lots of food for tailgate parties in the fall including a favorite jalapeno cheese spread.

Sweet Potato Peanut Butter Brownies. I have a recipe to try, but it is still too hot to bake in the oven here!

I can’t wait to eat (since I could never make anything as good myself) my MIL’s legendary pecan tartlettes. Tum!

I love making batches of apple crisp in the fall – and eating it for breakfast, lunch, dinner, bedtime snack, etc.
