Fabric Friday

I’m especially drawn to Jay-Cyn Designs for Birch Organic Fabrics, Eiko, Eikos Pond because it reminds me of the koi pond we had in my backyard. Some people wear waders when stepping into a river or stream, my dad wore them to stand in our 2 ft deep pond to hang out with the fish every morning. I think I’d have to make something like a laptop sleeve for him in this lovely fabric to remind him of those good ol’ days.

To enter for a chance to win one yard of Jay-Cyn Designs for Birch Organic Fabrics, Eiko, Eikos Pond tell us a childhood memory. Tweet, Stumble, or share on Facebook and leave another comment letting us know. Come back every day for new entries. We’ll randomly select a winner and announce right here next Friday.

Would love to use this for boy to decor!

Congrats! Look out for an email from us within the week.

I won a goldfish at a little spring fair. When it died, my mom said, “He kicked the bucket!” And my 3 year old sister replied, “But, Mama, he doesn’t have any legs!”

I remember family gatherings at my Grandparents’ house, before we moved all the way to the other coast when I was five. In the summer, we used to swim in their pool with all my cousins. I remember wearing water wings and being thrown in the pool by my aunts and uncles. I learned to swim pretty young.

Fall always brings to mind the times I played at my uncle’s farm, using dried corn cobs/corn as “food” and romping around in the tall grass

Once a rooster pecked my 3 year old sister in the midsection…later, there was a gamey rooster for dinner!

I remember climbing in bed with my parents with a whole pile of books and enjoying a lazy Sunday morning…bliss
