Giveaway: Simple Sewing: 30 Fast and Easy Projects for Beginners

Sew up a storm with Katie Lewis’ new book, Simple Sewing: 30 Fast and Easy Projects for Beginners. This beginner sewing book starts by teaching you the most basic techniques for sewing, and then fun projects to implement them. Katie takes you through step-by-step with clear explanations for which fabrics to choose, stitches to use, and helpful tips along the way.

Put your new sewing knowledge to work with basic projects like a tote to take to the grocery store, and an adorable holiday hair bow. As you work your way through the book you will find slightly more intricate projects like the soft play camera. You can see a version of Katie’s pencil pouch made by Imagine Gnats for the book tour. Now that we’ve told you all about it, we are excited to give away a copy just in time for the holidays! Did I mention there is a Christmas stocking project inside the book too?

I just bought my very first ever sewing machine EEK! I’m a nervous wreck. I’m looking all over Pinterest for Beginner sewing stuff – hints/tips, projects, essentials, etc. I stumbled on this page and boy could I use that book! I entered the contest and now will sit and cross my fingers.

I bought a machine on Amazon: Brother XR9500PRW Limited Edition Project Runway Sewing Machine with 100 Built-in Stitches and Quilting Table

I know zero about sewing. ZERO. But I’m a paper crafter and figured I could use it with my projects AND teach myself to sew. Wish me luck, I’ll need it LOL.

I’m now a follower and will check back often.

Hugs and happiness!
