Fall has always been my favorite season. Besides football and cozy cuddles, it’s the time of year that we spend afternoons outside in the neighborhood reconnecting with our friends and enjoying the fresh air. Inspired by the flavors of Autumn, like Teavana’s Spiced Apple Cider and Pumpkin Spice Bruleé teas, we hosted a Halloween pre-party. A place for the kids to gather before hitting up the neighbors, and a place for the grown-ups to catch their breath, reconnect, and have something warm (or refreshing!) to drink.

And then start planning your menu. Let’s start with the cocktail, shall we?

Spiced Apple Cider Champagne Cocktail (makes 4)

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup Teavana Spiced Apple Cider  tea sweetened with Teavana Perfectea rock sugar – Chilled
  • 1 shot brandy
  • Splash Champagne (or any sparkling wine)
  • Apple slices, cinnamon sticks + Perfectea rock sugar – for garnish.

Instructions:

  1. Mix tea and brandy and split between 4 champagne glasses. We love this Saucer style for a champagne cocktail!
  2. Top with a splash of champagne.
  3. Drop some rock sugar in the bottom for bubbly flair.
  4. Garnish with a cinnamon stick and apple slice. Enjoy!

Aren’t these teas pretty enough to put on display? At this point your entire house smells like Autumn.

To help people keep track of their tea cup, I made simple bracelets by stringing beads and tassels on elastic and looping them around the mug handle.

They make a simple + sweet favor for your friends. You can even hang them on your tea pot handle to keep track of flavors.

While you are enjoying a cup with your friends, keep the kids busy with a craft. Just set out some paint pens and pumpkins and let them decorate. Tip: Learn from my mistakes, cover your table with newspaper.  Pretty_Prudent_Teavana-0094

Hmmm, I have to ask. Would you possibly have a good recipe for a mar-tea-ni?

Oh jeez, Pumpkin Spice Bruleé tea?! I had no idea that even existed and now I feel compelled to buy armfuls of them. (I hate it when these brands make an amazing seasonal drink and only let us get it for a short while!) Seriously I’m getting some asap. Thanks for the inspiration!

Living in Los Angeles, it’s really hard to get into the fall spirit when it still feels like summer. This has inspired me and will be so much fun, all my neighbors and friends are gathering for a trick or tea party! Thank you!
