I have been on quite a leather kick since I made the Leather Mason Jar Mug, and with Valentine’s Day right around the corner, I put my leather scraps to use and made these leather heart keychains. So cute, right? As much as I love Valentine’s Day, I also adore the idea of Galentine’s Day (for the ladies!) so I made that extra special one for my best friend – Be My Galentine. Leslie Knope was right, it should be a National Holiday.

You will need:

-Leather or Vegan Leather Scraps
Jump Rings
Leather Hole Punch Tool
Letter & Number Stamp Punch Set
Eyelets
Eyelet Tool
Ball Chains Keychain

DIY Leather Heart Keychains

Cut out your leather hearts.

DIY Leather Heart Keychains

Use the leather hole punch tool to make a hole in the top corner of your heart.

DIY Leather Heart Keychains

Insert the eyelet and secure with the eyelet tool.

DIY Leather Heart Keychains

Use your leather stamp set to write sweet messages. Keep in mind that you will want to test out hammering the letters into the leather on a small piece first to see how many times you need to hammer it in.

Follow Jaime’s  Leather Tassel Tutorial to learn how to make these leather tassels and attach them to the keychain. Thread the keychain through the eyelet and secure it close.
