It looks like we have six more weeks of winter, huh? I can’t exactly complain about the winter we’ve been having here in LA, but I know a good portion of you could use some warming up right about now. Since I’m a big tea drinker I wanted to make these DIY Heart-Shaped Tea Bags for Valentine’s Day. I plan to put them in little gift baskets for friends with a card that says something sweet and silly like You’re Tea-rrific and You warm my heart. Right now though, I plan to enjoy a cup with one of Jaime’s heart scones.
Learn how to make these DIY heart tea bags after the jump…
You will need:
Coffee Filters
Thread
Needle
Wood Hearts
Hot Glue Gun and Glue
Cut hearts out of your filters.
Hand sew or machine stitch around the edges, leaving about a 1/2 inch open to pour in the tea.
Sew a thread from the top of the tea bag and leave a 1-2 inch tail. I also cut the tags off a couple of other tea bags I had.
Hot glue the piece of thread between two hearts for the tag at the end.
So sweet!!
