What do you think?

Dear readers of good taste and sophistication; I need your help.

I’m trying to decide which fabric to use for a new set of cloth napkins. My kitchen is white with hints of yellow, and the bulk of my dishes are red. Mmmmmm, pretty combination, not really. So here are my two options:

A: Anna Maria Horner Small Gathering Citrus

B: Alexander Henry Natura Birdsong Bright

Help me out! Which should I do? Please leave a comment!

Here is the kitchen in question. Note the Halloween candy, indicating the last time it was clean enough to photograph.

I say B, it has nice, bold colors and a clean white background. A is very pretty, but it makes me think of Christmas!

But, judging by the proportion of the picture each fabric gets in your photograph, I'd say you've already made up your mind. πŸ™‚

I would pick A, though they are both beautiful. Maybe you could do both and change them out for different seasons! That is what I usually do, as I always need a fresh new start once in a while.

B! To offset the yellow you already have in your bigger pieces like the stools and kitchen aid. A would be too match matchy, I think. Byoootiful kitchen btw.

I also pick A – your kitchen has a lot of white and choice B has a lot of white. A is both complimentary and stands out.

I agree that B is the better choice–it feels fresh and complements the bowls and your kitchen. The yellow in A feels a bit muddier somehow and while your kitchen does have a lot of white (mine does, too, I love it!) the white of the fabric has enough variation and brightness in it to be different enough. Or why not just make both napkins??

Just because I am practical, I would go with A. that white would show stains. I think the other would make a great table runner however. What great taste in fabric!

I vote A. I have something similar to B in my kitchen and really want to change it! I liked it at first but after just a little while it just doesn't make me smile.

I'd choose B for sure. I'm not positive the yellow in A compliments the other yellow pieces in your kitchen. πŸ™‚

i say both… switch them out seasonally or whenever you feel like it! A looks more fall/wintery and B looks more spring/summery πŸ™‚

definitely B….with all the white in your kitchen B just seems to match your style more and the dishes will pop off of that more verses yellow bowls on yellow.

I like B best too. It's bit less matchy. (I love your yellow kitchenaid! I couldn't decide which colour, and ended up getting the white one).

I think I have a photo of your kitchen in my "future home" file! I think the first one is more sophisticated, and the 2nd more fun…and well bright like it says πŸ˜‰

A! And can I have your kitchen please? I used to have painted yellow barstools too! And your mixer makes me want to trade up my red one- I've never seen a yellow one! πŸ™‚ good luck with this very difficult decision πŸ˜‰

Definitely go with B. I am also reminded of Christmas when I see A!! I think A is too dark to be sitting on your countertop. They don't complement each other well. A would just get lost on them whereas B would 'pop'.

well, A is a lot more sophisticated. A LOTE MORE but I personally love B because its more fun. So depends on what look you are looking for?

love your kitchen first of all. and second… first i totally thought B and then i looked a little longer and now i'm going with the vintagey looking A!

A – you will never be sorry about choosing an Anna Maria- wherever you put her fabric it seems like she becomes present in that room. I would like Anna Maria in my kitchen!

A- it's more of a bold choice IMO. Since you have such a clean looking kitchen, you need something a little busier, I think.

If I were to pick from the first picture, definitely A. When you add the picture of the entire kitchen, B makes more sense. The more graphic nature of the print works with the lines in your kitchen, I think.

I adore A, but think that B compliments the kitchen better. Good luck with deciding if the peanute gallery is actually helpful, though. :^)

I think A is rich and inviting–a perfect mealtime combination. Would it be overpowering in your white kitchen? Mmmm… I don't think so. I like B, too, especially with all the white in your kitchen. Are all of these opinions getting confusing? Hehe. I guess it goes to show that you've got good taste and will do well with either option.

I Love B: Alexander Henry Natura Birdsong Bright. I think the yellow in it is a better match to the other yellow accents in your kitchen, it has other gorgeous colours if you want to get playful with flowers and serving dishes. I also like the pattern better. I am also going to steal you tiled back splash pattern for my upcoming renos!

Hee hee hee…I say use them both and make two sets! Then you can use whatever set suits your mood for the day.

I like A. Both are great, but you have young children and B will show dirt more easily.

I think A. Both are great but B has too much white for your already white pallet. I think the yellow in A gives you a pop of color.

Both Totally Both!! So you can switch it up every now and then. What will you do when one set is dirty and you need to wipe your mouth or spill some milk.

Did I not just post a tutorial for reversible placemats? oh, wait, you want napkins. i guess i need to know what color your placemats are!

Love your kitchen! Beautiful! I would definitely say B love the bright vibrant colors. I think it would go great with the white kitchen.

Make both πŸ™‚ You can never have too many cloth napkins, particularly with kiddos. When you want a more mod/streamlined look you can use B, and when you want a bit more color pop and warmth you can use A!

I'm torn… at just I thought B, but A is quite nice as well – what did you choose??
