Giveaway: Alloy Jewelry Heart of Gold Necklace!

We love a piece of jewelry that celebrates your children with sweetness, charm, and style. Wouldn’t this make a perfect holiday treat for yourself or maybe grandma? Well lovely prudent ladies, we are giving away on Heart of Gold Necklace from our sponsor Alloy Jewelry! You’ll be able to customize it with up to 18 letters for your little bean or beans. Here’s the details:

This is the perfect necklace for those who love the look of mixed metals. It is truly representitive of Alloy Jewelry’s style and shows that “mommy jewelry” can be artisan and tasteful! The heart is Rose Gold Vermeil plating over Thai Silver and is slightly domed to fit snug in the domed disc. The disc is 19 mm (a bit smaller than a US quarter) and is domed and the edges are hammered to give texture.

The artist who handmakes each of these gorgeous pieces is named Leah. Alloy Jewelry came about after the birth of her second son. She had been doing freelance editing for a publishing company and found it extremely hard to sit down in front of a computer to work after being exhausted from caring for a 2 year-old and an infant all day. With much encouragement from her dear family and friends, she decided to ditch editing and start selling her personalized creations. She instantly LOVED sitting down to “work” and would sneak away every quiet moment to complete orders.

As long as she can remember, Leah’s father has been dragging her into antique stores across Vermont. She remembers her resistance to these adventures subsiding as she began to notice that each antique store had at least one glass case of historic, interesting, and breathtakingly beautiful estate jewelry. Now, upon entering every antique store she possibly can (completely voluntarily), she finds herself admiring the antique broaches, rings, and earrings and wonders what the person who once owned them was like.

Alloy Jewelry is set apart from simply being categorized as “mommy jewelry”. Yes, it is personalized and hand-stamped, but it’s tasteful designs make each piece an artisan work of wearable art. The mixture of metals and classic, simple, yet beautiful designs are inspired by Leah’s love of antiques and their timelessness.

I am inspired by Leah’s conviction to follow her heart and I wish her all the success in the world. So to enter this giveaway, take a look at the Alloy Jewelry shop, then come back here and leave a comment telling us which piece is your fave. Also tell us if you could follow your heart, where it would take you. I love the Sterling Bar Initial Necklace pictured above, and if I could follow my heart this morning, I think it would take me to a frothy cappuccino at a teensy iron table on the Champs Elysees with Carleton & Scarlet.

Leave your comment between now and midnight next Tuesday, November 30th. Come back every day for a new entry. Tweet, Stumble, and/or share the giveaway on facebook by clicking “like” below and leave us another comment each time letting us know for an additional entry. We will select one winner using random.org and send off their necklace! Now follow your heart…

It's all so pretty. It would be a toss up between the Hope and Heart of Gold necklaces I love them both.

If I could follow my heart it'd take me to a place with more time in each day. Right now I have so much I want to get done but am struggling to balance it all.

I am following my heart by using your awesome patterns to create my own items for my girls who are at the center of my heart. The necklace is a perfect reflection of that.
Thanks for this site and all the work you put into it to help mamas like me! <3

I LOVE the heart of gold necklace! SO pretty! If I could follow my heart this morning I would be on my way to see my inlaws for Thanksgiving early. My husband is a minister so we have to wait until after church on Thanksgiving before we can go.

The Little Loves Heart Necklace. Hmm, I would send my resume to Sesame Street Workshop for the coordinator position as it's been my life-long dream to work with Muppets. Once there, I would make sure my little Monster would be the Baby on Elmo's World, you know, when Elmo asks a baby.

I love this necklace! The "My Sweet Dandelions" and "Possibilities" necklaces are absolutely lovely, too. (I need to forward this shop to my husband!)
If I could have followed my heart today, I'd be sitting around a table with steaming cups of coffee or tea, catching up with some of my best forever friends. Thankfully…we're doing that on Saturday!

I'm a military spouse, so I've followed my heart now to multiple states and countries (and deployments) spanning 3 different continents! I'm not sure where I'll be following my heart next, but you can be sure I'll be following it!

I love Little Loves Heart Necklace. It's amazing!

I would follow my heart straight to Ethiopia to adopt and visit our sponsored child. Unfortunately it's not so much a lack of heart as it is a lack of funds.

I like this, it is different than most stamped necklaces I see. If I were to follow my heart, I would live in the country in a pretty farm house with a beautiful farm, unfortunately, my husbands heart disagrees

It's always hard being away from family, but the holidays are always tough for me. Great giveaway, and I hope everyone has a Happy Thanksgiving!!!!!

My heart is with Lauren who said she would be with family back home… I am lucky enough to have every member of my family (including in laws) within 30 minutes. My heart aches for those who can't be that close.
