so hard to choose…the lime green is really pretty…or the light blue…or the coral. πŸ™‚ I love the feel of linen and would love to have a skirt to help me keep cool during our HOT Texas summers.

The light Blue is gorgeous!! I'd make a simple skirt for my mom (she's newly widowed and we are sending her to the beach this summer to relax!) It would be an awesome Beach skirt for her to take πŸ™‚ Thanks!

I would choose white and I would actually make it a tablecloth. I have been planning on making a linen tablecloth and embroidering it with this lovely pattern that I have all around the bottom edge. Does that count?

the light blue looks so peaceful . . . I'd wear my linen skirt billowing as I chased our escaped chickens thru the yard . . . add some peace to our suburban chaos!

I can't decide between Ivory and Natural! Probably Ivory, and I'd make a lovely bubble skirt. For me? Or my daughter?

It would have to be the orange! There are so many things I would love to do in this skirt ~ but I can only guarantee I would be chasing my 2 year old little lady…. and twirling!!

Theresa

As for what color I would choose? I am a woman that loves COLOR, so the brighter, the better! The first that stood out to me was coral–a beautiful, feminine color perfect for that cool sundress on a hot summer's day!

Reply
Jennifer

The hot pink is great!! But all of them are beautiful. I'd probably make something for my little one for summer time!

Reply
Wendi

I was just thinking that I need to get myself some linen to make a summer hat. I'd get the brown and embroider flowering vines all over it – then make it up into a lightweight hat.

HOT PINK, Baby!!! My daughter turns 1yo on the 17th of this month. I think it would be great to make her one of your dresses for the summer!!! LOVE YOUR SITE!!!! Keep up the fantastic creativity & inspiration!!!

Another person loving the lime green because it really looks like LIME – not some hideous acid vomit color! Gorgeous and deep πŸ™‚

I adore the pure white. It's so crisp and clean. Sadly, I'm not a fan of turbans, but my skirt would rock the beach this summer. It might even make it to Mexico! πŸ˜‰

Reply
Aelysium

Ooh, I think I would choose the coral. It's hard to pick, though!
My skirt would help me get through the hideously long and hot summer. Pregnant during the summer is not something I love being.

Reply
Andrea

oooh I'm thinking light blue. I'm a lover of linen and have several items in white linen and taupe so going wild with COLOR would be awesome!

The lime or orange, or maybe white. Do I hafta decide right now? πŸ˜‰ I'd go shopping in my new skirt. πŸ™‚

I love linen lime for sure! In my skirt, I would just sit back, sip some lemonade and be happy that my skirt fit! I'm pregnant and due in only a few weeks, so something that fits nicely would be a treat in itself!

Reply
Envirotron

I'd love to make a white skirt with those pleats that are all pointed one direction all the way around and sewn partially down. I've had my sights on making one of those all spring! (It's already been a long spring here in FL.)

Reply
Janel

Wow…the light blue is gorgeous! I envision pairing that new skirt with a white top and having a nice evening out this summer with my husband!

Reply

Omg I'm stuck between the light blue and light pink! I'm planning on making a diaper bag for my older sister for her little boy so I'd have to go with the light blue. I think she's going to love having a nice new diaper bag. =)

Reply
Magpie Mimi

This is soooo hard! I'm torn three ways between the coral, hot pink and light blue! Eeee! They're all so lovely!

I think I'd have to have a posh picnic in my new linen skirt with pretty cupcakes and cucumber sandwiches with the crusts cut off and lord it over my guests as they wouldn't have such a nice linen skirt as me! πŸ˜‰

I'm an ivory kind of girl. I definitely see myself enjoying the sun and red rock. . .mmmm. . .

I can't decide between the coral and the orange, but either way a skirt made with it would be perfect for sitting on my balcony drinking my morning coffee!

Oh I'd get the lime green or coral, sew a 1940's skirt to wear with new saltwater sandals for a day out with my hubby, eating tapas, drinking red wine, listening to some jazz and enjoying some sunshine. Which is a challenge in winter here in australia. What a way to enjoy a fine linen skirt, a great day with the person you love and have some time away from your toddler who's spending time with nana for the day. Oh now I'm dreaming. Forget the housework, cooking, unfinished sewing projects and nappies meant fir the wash I want this fabric and the day out.

I really like the hot pink; it looks more like purple to me, though. I would use it as a lining for the cosmetic bags I make, or for a dress for my little one.

Orange. I always want orange. Even when its not an option. All I would really do in my orange linen skirt is what I do every day (parent, teach, sew, read) but I would look a little snazzier.

I love the coral. I could tell you what I'd like to do in my lovely coral linen skirt…but truly, I'll be making breakfast, driving to school, doing laundry, (sewing!), picking up dirty socks,… You get the picture, right? A momma can look pretty while she's doin' her thing though!

Oooooh! So many beautiful things could be made from that linen! When I was younger I made a full length linen skirt that turned out a bit … funny. Would love to try a more serious one with one of these beautiful colours πŸ™‚

If I win I want the light blue linen. I would love to make a Hot Mess Mommy skirt out of this. I would sit in my windowless office (where I spend the majority of my life) and gaze longingly at the blue fabric of my new skirt and it would remind me of the beautiful blue sky outdoors. And I would fantasize about moving my desk out into the courtyard to enjoy the sunshine. And then I would be snapped back into reality by the ringing of my desk phone and know with a bit of sadness that it was all just a dream. πŸ™‚
