Quilt Market: Part 1

This past Sunday I zipped up to Kansas City for Quilt Market so I could show you all the fabric-y goodness to come this year. It’s an OK way to spend an afternoon. Mmmmmm, fabric. Who’s collection are you excited to see? Anna Maria? Amy? Melody Miller and Sarah Jane? You’ll see them all over the next week, plus Lotta, Liberty of London and some new designers on the scene that I’m guessing you will love as much as we do.

Alexia Abegg from Green Bee Studio was on hand showing off her gorgeous patterns like these stunning quilts.

Hot off of Ruby Star Rising, Melody Miller is bringing more of her fresh vintage style. I might be able to cut my typewriter fabric after all, knowing there are vinyl records, phones and cameras on the way.

Kokka showcased these precious knits perfect for baby soft clothing and bedding.

The newest from Heather Ross, her Nursery Versery  collection.
This Echino Zebra print had buzz around the show. I like it!
Loving the fabric combos on these baby frocks featured in the BariJ booth.
Denyse Schmidt was on-site with a new collection and gorgeous quilt patterns. I love her inspiration wall display.
Valori Wells was as fun and laid-back as always. I threatened to curl up in her cozy quilt-filled hammock. I didn’t but she totally would have let me.

Ms Amy Butler was also on-site to give personal booth tours of her new fabric and patterns.

And everyone was chatting about the gorgeous new work from Tula Pink. How great is this for Halloween?

And Anna Maria Horner is shaking things up by including animal prints in her new Field Study collection. I love how they mix with the rest of the fabric.

And lastly for this morning, I’ll leave you with the exciting news that Liberty of London is introducing a line of quilting cotton here in the US.

Stay tuned next week for Part 2 of our Quilt Market tour. There is so much beautiful fabric to come!

OMG! Wish there was something like this here in Quebec, Canada. I am so in love with that butterfly print from Valori Wells. Can totally see a quilt for my youngest in that print. Where can I get my hands on it?

I forgot how much I love the yellow/red color combo- as in the little girls outfit-so 50’s. Beautiful and inspiring eye candy!
