DIY Clouds and Stars Card

The other day I had to send out thank you cards and wasn’t feeling up to heading to the store to buy some, so I did what any logical person would do and made some of my own. I wanted to make a card that would feel totally unique, could be used for pretty much any occasion, and would make me smile if I pulled it out of an envelope – and thus the DIY Clouds and Stars Card was born. Once I figured out my design I was able to make a handful of them in an afternoon. Next time I think I’m going to use this marbling technique for the clouds, what do you think?

Check out the tutorial for the DIY Clouds and Stars Card after the jump…

Cut two clouds out of cardstock. You can use Jacinda’s cloud pattern from her Cloud & Ribbon Rainbow Decorative Pillow. Just make sure to make it much smaller.

I used glitter foam stickers for the letters and stars, but you could use paper too.

Sandwich a piece of ribbon between two star stickers.

Lay them out on your cloud to see where you want the placement to be. Tape them down so they sit securely.

Add a ribbon loop to the top of your cloud and tape that down too.

Glue all around the cloud and put the other cloud piece on top. Let it dry.

You’re done! I made another one with letters at the bottom too.
