We doubted the Blendtec. The recipe book said it could make ice cream and yet we had our doubts. But WHAT IF it actually could make ice cream? With 3 ingredients and the push of a button, ice cream ready to serve. We had to try it. Success! The blueberry ice cream is delicious on it’s own but the lavender gives it an unexpected, unique and elegant flavor. Gordon and Quinn highly approved and asked for more!
Read on for this quick and easy ice cream dessert and for the details on how to win a Blendtec Designer Series Blender and Twister Jar.
Ingredients:
1 1/4 cup Half & Half (or 3/4 cup Heavy Cream & 1/2 cup Whole Milk, if that’s what you have on hand, like me)
1/4 teaspoon Natural Lavender Flavor (feel free to adjust to taste)
3 Tablespoons Sugar
2 1/4 cup Frozen Blueberries
—
Step 1: add the lavender to the cream mixture
Step 2: Add cream mixture to blender
Step 3: Add sugar to blender
Step 4: Add frozen blueberries to blender.
Step 5: Press Ice Cream button on blender.
(You would think this would have strengthened our faith in the Blendtec’s ice cream making ability and yet we were still non-believers.)
Stand around and watch blender.
Step 6: Serve immediately because it’s ready just like that.

What a fabulous piece of machinery!! I’m still baffled by HOW, but love the recipe too! The combination of blueberry and lavender sounds incredible. Thanks for sharing! xx
Surely its the frozen fruit doing it. I’m thinking I might try a strawberry in my blender
Aww, so sweet- look at those faces! Pure pleasure!
I’m thinking of frozen juice too. Or freezing flavored soda in ice cubes and using it. Yum. Surely its not just this blender that will do it
We use frozen fruit with some milk, honey, and a small handful of spinach in our regular blenders. The kids LOVE it and I’ve even bribed the 4 year old with it if she picks up the toys from the living room.
Frozen bananas work well just by themselves too – don’t need to add any milk or sugar or anything.
