For The Season of Cozy i bring you this crochet Hot Water Bottle – a little retro, a little sweet. This crochet hot water bottle cozy is very quick and simple to make, if you have access to a hot water bottle it’s a great last minute gift. I ordered the hot water bottle for on amazon here and used my favorite Wool-Ease Thick & Quick Yarn.

I used a 9mm needle (size 13) and Lion’s Brand Wool-Ease Thick & Quick Yarn. Give it a shot and send us a picture so we can include you in the next round up!
Chain 38, SC into first stitch to join
Row 1: *Ch 2, DC into first stitch, DC 37 more, SC into first stitch to join
Row 2-20: Repeat from* for 19 more rows
change colors as you desire
At end of last row, slip stitch to complete
Turn it inside out and SC along the bottom to join the two sides together
Weave in ends
For bow, ch 60, weave in ends. Work your chain into your cozy around the neck of the bottle and tie all cutely. Awww!
This is perfection. I love it! And I am obsessed with Wool-Ease Quick and Easy yarn now. Made another crochet wreath yesterday in like 10% the time.
FYI this is a great gift for a new mom. Works great on sore boobies!
Wow! I never would have thought of a hot water bottle being a good gift, but it really would be.
Jacinda-it could even work for non-mommies around PMS time. lol I'm feeling that right now.
Very cute idea!
totally wanna snuggle up with that cozy cover and a hot water bottle.
I was looking for a pattern since I lost my knit one from stitch and b*tch. It's wonderful for baby bellies when they have colic and little girls and boys when they have ear infections (the weight and warmth of the hot water is so soothing!). I was hoping to find another knit one but I'm glad I came across this alternative! Thank you!
