The people in my life know me so well – I got THREE sets of these for Christmas and Hanukkah! I love them so much, I thought I’d share the bounty by hosting a little giveaway.
These Matryoshka Measuring Cups by Fred M include a 3-layer matryoshka, with each side of each doll a different perfect measure to create 6 measuring cups between 1/4 cup and 1 full cup.
They’re so cute, you know you want them. As you know, I like to complain about my dislike of baking, but I have seriously been coming up with random things to bake just as an excuse to use them. And of course, Scarlet loves playing with them.
So for this giveaway, tell us what you would like to measure if only you could. I would like to know, if you laid it all out, the yardage of fabric scraps I have tossed. I would also like to know the weight of ruined cookie dough I have thrown away. However, I do not want to know the weight of cookies I have eaten since Thanksgiving.
Leave your comment anytime between now and midnight next Wednesday January 12th. We will randomly select a winner (with a US address) and announce next week. Tweet, stumble, and/or share the giveaway on facebook and leave another comment each time letting us know for an additional entry. Come back every day for new entries. Happy measuring!

You see, I do 0-5% of the cooking in our family (a little spoiled, I know…hubby is a great cook, he enjoys it, I don't…and he grocery shops too – gasp!!), so I don't really get to enjoy any fun kitchen stuff since I don't use it. However, these little beauties would be so CUTE on sitting on our countertop…and cuteness is definitely something I can, and do, enjoy. And a bonus is that they're also super functional (for hubby, ya know). I'd love to look at these little guys each day, and it'd be awesome to have something in the kitchen that I can finally enjoy…haha. Thanks for such a fun giveaway and for sharing the love!

These are terrific – a Matryoshka doll was what saved us on our first east-west coast flight with our 2 year old. I would like to measure (or just know the measure!) of the amount of thread I've run through learning to sew in the past year and a half. Hello, seam ripper…

If I could measure anything, I would want to measure all the clipped threads from all the quilting projects I have done and will do. I save them anyhow and use them to stuff the dolls I make seasonally. Of course there is never enough because it is so small, so I also have to use the scraps of fabric left over as well as batting, (LOVE to recycle) but it would be really cool to know just how much thread gets "wasted" in a project
I would be curious to know how many minutes/hours/seconds my husband and I spent on the phone when we dated long distance. I'd measure that:)

I would like to measure the amount of hair I've lost since having a baby 4 months ago. In fact, I was scared to cook anything over the holidays b/c I was horrified at the thought of someone finding a hair in their food. Yuck! But I'm sure this phase will pass and I'd be super excited to retunr to baking with some cute new measuring cups!
I'm sure this has been mentioned already, but I'd like to lay out all the cloth diapers my daughter has used in these first 6 months of her life and see how far I could go if I started from Texas to take a roadtrip… Would they get me to the West Coast, East Coast or just to El Paso? (I'm horrible at sizing things up to measure them, did I mention THAT already?)
Also I'd like to know the amount of blood I've lost these 34 years of life on this planet. Grotesque, but I'd really like to know…

I would like to measure the amount of sleep lost in raising two little ones back to back and how that contributed to my brain turning into mush. I can't even believe I took AP calculus in high school and now it takes me 10 minutes to figure out a simple algebra problem…like calculating fabric yardage for a project!! They're older now and sleep regularly so maybe my brain is recuperating.

If I could I would like to measure the (immeasurable) patience my family has had with me as I've tried to (re)develop allergy friendly recipes for my son… some have been real flops, but we're committed keeping him safe from the things that make him dangerously ill, while trying to give him all the sweet treats and delicious memories every kid should have. I think my son and I would really enjoy measuring out ingredients together (he's now reading and doing simple math) with these cups. These would be a sweet, iconic way to remember cooking with Mom – the very design of these cups says "Mama"!
I've seen these several times on the web! Sooo cute! If I could measure anything… Well, perhaps the miles I've spent up in the air, flying oh so many times across the ocean, between my country and the USA…
Sorry, I don't do Twitter, Facebook or any of those… So, I don't have a right for an extra entry?? 🙁

These are adorable. I love quirky little things like that. For Christmas, my husband bought me salt and pepper shakers that he had made to look like our kids. lol Very cheesy, but they're great. Plus, my 3 year old son gets a kick out of shaking pepper out of his head.

I'd measure the weight of all the clothing that has been ruined since having kids 15 years ago.
Between projectile baby barf, coffee spills at 5 am after a night of zero sleep, marker mishaps & pretty much every craft project, it's got to be a lot. Totally worth it, mind you…I'd just like to know.

Last but not least, I'd like to know the exact amount of guilt each child feels when they're in trouble. It would make parenting so much easier. I have a sneaking suspicion it is always zero…my middle might one might score 20% on a good day. Otherwise, zero all around but I can't prove it.

NOW I WILL JUST PLEAD!!! I have a nine year old daughter who wakes up and begs to cook us all breakfast. So pancakes a few weeks ago consisted of an entire-entire box of Bisquick (no I am not kidding, they were stick to your ribs thick). She has been perfecting her craft. So my plead is for the learning and enjoyment that this would give my little chef. Anything that helps her follow directions is AMAZING! I would love to inspire her to follow the directions more on the recipes she chooses with these beauties. Plus, they would be so cute on display in my turn of the century kitchen (it is actually a huge kitchen) which is great to cook in. THANK YOU FOR SHARING A GREAT PRIZE.

If I could I would measure the amount a momma's heart breaks when her baby has her first hacky cough and fever, the sound of every cough weighs so heavy. I would love to measure the amount of handmade caramels I botched at Christmas and the effort that went into them! I wanted to make them so bad but after 4 tries I gave up. I couldn't get them to harden to save my life.
I feel your pain in the baking dept as well. I try and try but most things aren't that great. My Mom says it's because I don't measure things like I should. I'd love to win these. There cute and maybe they would rectify that issue :o)

I love these! Something I would like to measure (and I can but I can't bring myself to do it out of fear) is the amount of money I have spent on fabric this past year (2010). Could be scary.
How about measuring the amount of time I spend looking at these types of blogs all over the internet, but I do love finding a good giveway! 🙂

those are the cutest ever and would look so good on my kitchen counter!
Ok, this I need :D. Really! They would make me keep my kitchen cleaner [yeah, I'm blushing now] 'cause it would be a shame not to see them, right? Plus, the kid would be delighted to make cookies with them and hopefully, because we don't use american cups, the cookies will stink and I won't eat them and I won't get even fatter (is that reallt a word? it's how I feel :))) ) So, you see, you don't need random to pick on this, I neeeeed them :))))
I would like to know the amount of garlic I have cooked with (I use it alot and often double the amount required). I would also like to know the amount of dust I clean up from my house each year. We live in a very sandy area, so twice daily sweeping is normal.

These are adorable and I've been eyeing them for some time. If I could I would like to measure the amount of pizza my husband has eaten – just to make a point about his bad eating habits!
One thing I would like to measure? The distance I walked/ran around the house during the time all 4 girls and hubby had the stomach flu. Running for buckets, carrying kids to the bathroom, running to the kitchen…my legs were just as sore as if I had ran a couple miles the day before. Honestly, I would've much rather ran the miles than dealt with stomach flu mess..ew.
Win or lose, these meauring cups, the measuring spoons and the key covers are going to be mine. Can we say Happy Valentine's Day to me? Love, love, LOVE!!!!
unbelievably adorable, i could totally use those!

If I could, I would love to measure all of the good from good deeds, notions, and really good people in the world and bake it into a lovely pie for the rest of humanity to eat and take in. :]
I would like to know the length of all of the ribbon, string, yarn and tulle that I have handed over to my 4 year old daughter while crafting. "Mommy, can I have some so I can make someting too? Just a little bit so I can make – enter fanciful creation here – ?"
geez, I love her.
These measuring cups are too cute! I think I'm going to have to buy them for myself. Mainly because I never win these things. But thank you for sharing and giving me a great idea! I love your craft items, too. I can't wait to try the Basic Bias Tape bag!
I'd like to measure how much laughter we've shared as a family since my daughter was born!
This is so neat, I just saw these measuring cups on Amazon.com recently. I'd love to have a set. We are about to buy our first house, and the kitchen is a decent size but not huge.. With severe allergies and dietary restrictions in the family, we spend a great deal of time in the ktichen. So I was looking for ways to cut down on space and items. The nesting measuring cups is a really cute way to do that!

I would measure all of the time I have wasted feeling guilty about silly things so that I could measure out twice as much grace to myself- and to all the mamas around me!
My daughter would LOVE those! She is 2 years old but my little cooking buddy. She has taught me that pink cooking tools are always better, cute makes the job ten times more fun and those dolls would bring a squeal of delight to our cooking!
I would like to measure all of the "I love you's" I have thought, felt, and said. http://www.oliviaseden.com

Yay, I need these! I have much to measure.
My 18 month-olds favorite Christmas ornaments to remove from the tree and lose were the nesting nutcrackers. I'm sure as a fervent and devoted kitchen drawer raider she would love to get her hands on these. Maybe we could have joint custody over them, I'd get them on weekends for baking, and she'd get them for playdough during the week.

I would love to measure how much expired food I throw away after finding it in my father in law's freezer, fridge and pantry each time I check. I am sure, that if it were still 2003, we could effectively feed all of France. 🙂 It's ok though, he says it's still good.
OMG those are amazing!
I posted on FB as well. 🙂
I would like to measure the love I have for my daughters and granddaughter. Shared on Facebook.

I would LOVE to measure all the sewing thread my son has tangled up so bad with his adventures into my sewing basket that I've had to toss over the last 2 years!
I love these! I think it would be hard to keep them away from my four-year-old daughter though. She already loves the real nesting dolls I got as a gift from a friend who went to visit Russia many years ago.
I would love to measure all the hair I've cut off in my life. Would be interesting to me anyway!
I would measure LOVE!!
