my favorite thing to cook is anything of my Grandmas, she handed down all her recipes to me and i scrapbooked them into a cookbook. i am the only one that knows the recipes that she filed "in her head" so whenever i make her chili, or her casseroles or anything, it makes me think of her.

Jam. For my daughters first birthday, I made strawberry, peach, berry cherry, blueberry cherry, blueberry lime, chocolate raspberry, chocolate covered cherry, banana nut, carrot cake and mango pineapple. This year for christmas I made spiced pear, and carmel apple jam.

Also, grilled veggie salads – roasted peppers, corn, zucchini, squash, asparagus over mixed greens and avocado with sun dried tomatoes.

The best thing I cook is Chile Rellenos from Diana Kennedy's The Art of Mexican Cooking. But this is a demanding recipe so I don't cook it often. The best thing I cook often is the Crock Pot Bolognese sauce from Cook's County, a magazine by the same team as America's Test Kitchen. ATK is a great show for Cooks and Geeks, Geeky Cooks!

I can't choose a favorite. But I know one of my husband's favorites is a chicken 'parmasan' I do. its not really. Simply cut up chicken thighs, tomatos sauce, mushrooms, because well I can getmy husband to eat anything with mushrooms, and cheese.

Every year the kids can't wait for the holidays when I bake Pumpkin Cheesecake. But throughout the year I suppose the family's favorite is my impromptu crockpot soups. I just LOVE finding different combinations (mostly leftovers) and simmer up some really yummy soups. (ATK is by far my favorite of all cooking shows out there! I'm hooked on their cookbooks too!!)

My best has to be my "Good as Gold" Oatmeal Cookies. They are highly sought after this time of year and could easily be used as currency. Buttery and crisp on the outside, chewy and sweet on the inside. My best dinner would be my Trifecta meatloaf made with pork, ground chuck and veal.

We LOVE panini's!! Everyone loves them in our house. We put out a spread of Italian bread, tortilla wraps, whole grain bread as the base. Sauces: Mayo, Miracle Whip, Mustard, Butter. Meats: Ham, Turkey, Roast Beef. Cheeses: Provolone, Swiss, Cheddar. Extras: Lettuce, Pickles, Onion, Sprouts, Salt and Pepper. Everyone assembles theirs just the way they like it and then we lightly rub EVOO on the outside and pop er' in the Panini grill. Delicious!! đŸ™‚

My personal favorite is eggplant parmesan (not made frequently due to workload and calorie load), my husband loves my can of coke pot roast, and my inlaws can't get enough of my Christmas cookies this year!
