Dino Menorahs, Santa Babies, and Champagne: Friday I’m in Love
DIY Project We’re Loving: I’m in awe over the 8 Days of DIY Menorahs Ciaran from Momfluential has been making, like this Plastic Dinosaur Menorah.
Idea I Wish I Had Thought Of First: Jaime sent over this brilliant idea she spotted on the Just Married and Cooking Facebook page: Freeze pomegranate seeds and put a few in your champagne to keep it cold. I know what I’m doing this weekend.
Mind-Blowing, Adorable, and Hilarious: While I was catching up on the important news of the world, I spotted this adorable Swimming Santa Baby, which reminded me of these hilarious Underwater Dog Photos, but my mind was officially blown when I watched Real Dogs Driving Real Cars.

DIY Christmas Light Orbs

They say everything’s bigger in Texas. While I’m not sure that applies to EVERYTHING, it seems to apply to Christmas light displays. We can walk around our own little neighborhood and be treated to a festive feast for the eyes. No inflatable lawn ornament too large. No color combination too garish. The bigger, the brighter, the more overwhelming, the better, At least that’s how my 3 under 5 see it. In Clare’s eyes, we have the lamest house on the block even though I have presented miniature Christmas trees lining the walkway, giant twinkling snowflakes and multi-color lights. MULTI-COLORED LIGHTS! I’ve broken promises I made a long time ago to a pre-kid Jacinda. While I may draw the line at 10ft cacti wearing a Santa hat, part of me still wants to make my littles ooh and ahh over their own home. This weekend I managed to turn their heads with my DIY glowing Christmas orbs so I thought I would share how I made them. I love these so much that I want them up year round, maybe in white, although I am warming to the Tijuana Dive Bar vibe.

How to Sew Pajamas from a T-Shirt
As a kid, one of our family traditions every Christmas Eve was to get a new set of Christmas pajamas. I’ve heard this is a pretty common one. Anyone else? There’s something so great about putting on a new, warm pair of jammies before bed. Autumn, from It’s Always Autumn, figured out how to make the comfiest pajamas using a XXL T-shirt. They only cost her a whopping fifty cents.
Autumn has also been getting ready for the holidays with her Christmas Subway Art Printable. Her Baby Girl Top & Skirt J.Crew Knockoff is so cute and DIY 1st Birthday Cake Smash Photoshoot makes me want to take these babies home with me.
Let’s get cozy now with the tutorial for How to Sew Pajamas from a T-Shirt…
Friday I’m in Love: The Hometown Edition

What holiday fun have you found near your own home? Maybe one of these 52 Holiday Light Delights is a good place to start.

During the conference, I also discovered amazing things to do with my children throughout the year, like hand-feeding the giraffes at the Dallas Zoo and taking in a joust at Medieval Times. I even discovered that there is an entire aquarium in the mall near my house!

But as all you mamas know, being treated to all that fun and luxury, didn’t compare to some special time with my girl. It even inspired this mushy little video I made during one of the speed video sessions at the conference. Ahh, why can’t they stay little forever?
Speaking of holding on tight to your little babies, let’s have an Instagram contest!
